Located in the heart of Hanoi, GU is a complex comprising a fine dining restaurant and wine bar dedicated to culinary enthusiasts to explore the art of cuisine. We offer European cuisine with a creative menu crafted by Michelin Chef Hervé Rodriguez, combined with the largest wine list in Vietnam featuring over 1000 different wines from the most renowned wine regions around the world.
About the Role
We are searching for a Waiter/ Waitress to help bring to life the city’s newest dining venue with great gastronomic experiences. He/she will be the representative for our spirits in creating the best moments for our clients at GU: enjoying the best cuisine with carefully selected ingredients, discovering our wine and beverage collections in a stylish atmosphere with the most famous brands of glassware, cutleries, and teaware.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensuring cleanliness of eating utensils such as plates, bowls, spoons, and glasses, in compliance with the restaurant’s hygiene standards.
- Folding napkins and preparing paper for dining.
- Setting up dining tables and banquet tables according to the serving style of the restaurant, with all necessary utensils and decorative items.
- Providing advice to customers on suitable food and beverage choices when requested.
- Serving food and beverages according to the guests’ orders, ensuring the correct table and sequence.
- Being ready to assist guests in handling any issues that may arise during their meal, such as spilled drinks or broken plates.
- Clearing tables, setting up new tables, and preparing for the next guests.
- Cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and surfaces used during the shift.
- Organizing and restocking supplies for the next shift.
- Ensuring the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area before closing.
- Properly storing utensils and equipment for the next day’s use.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in the position of a Server.
- Young and energetic.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Preference for candidates who have worked in a restaurant or hotel environment before.
