Host/Hostess
We are looking for a Host or Hostess to join our team and be the first point of contact for our guests. You are the one who has a warm, friendly and personable demeanor. You are team players, effective communicators and you can keep your composure when working with angry customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge each customer promptly (using names) complied with restaurant greeting standards.
- Knowledge of restaurant layout, station breakdowns and table numbers.
- Escort customer to their table and introduce their server.
- Answer telephone complied with restaurant standards.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
- Know and implement service standards/procedures for guests.
- Communicate with guests, colleagues, or other departments to ensure guest needs are met.
- Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
- Ensure place settings are appropriate and each customer has the necessary items for the standard place setting.
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work area.
- Report customer feedback to Restaurant Management.
- Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell.
Requirements
- Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress
- Demonstrable customer-service skill, communication skill (via phone and in-person) and strong organizational skill.
- Availability to work in shift as needed
- Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
- Degree in hospitality or restaurant management.
- Good command of English
Compensation Package
